Task 7
Today's task will get you lusting over delicious things for your wall:
Visit the Prints Store and choose three pieces you like from one of the shop categories you wouldn't normally visit (e.g. Typography, Science Fiction, Surreal etc). Post a journal linking to the three prints you found and if you like, add a small write up to tell us what it was about the piece that appeals to you.
REALLY like your piece? Wishlist it and you could see it on your wall!
Here are mine!

from Typography.
This one defeats the common belief that a picture is worth a thousand words. The first thing I thought about when I saw it (after I was done jaw-dropping) was that in the case of this piece, it's the word that is worth a thousand pictures.
Life. Such a complex thing, illustrated in such a lovely way.
Congrats to the artist, you rock.

from Manga/Anime.
I might be a bit of a Manga/Anime enthusiast, but I realised that I never really browse this category on dA. Now that I have, I was pleased to find this lovely masterpiece that I definitely wouldn't mind having on my wall. The detail, the lovely shade of red and the fact that colour isn't overly abused here...it all made this piece an eye-catcher for me, and I think it deserves attention.
Buy it!

from Vector Art.
I was never into vector art, because I don't understand how it's done and it's always been a bit alien to me. However, that has never stopped me from marveling at stunning pieces such as this. A touch of retro that makes me think of Art Nouveau, and the lovely, gracious lines...it's all just perfect. In a limbo between abstract and reality-faithful art, this is without a doubt something I'd buy if I had the money.
